The two of us are a pretty mixed bag. Being South African and German (with a Down Under touch to it) we speak English, Afrikaans, German and, of course, Hessisch! On top of this we have a lot of different interests, some of which are featured here on our homepage.

Age? Let´s just say that there is a grade four between the two of us. Which speaks for HIS luck and HER good taste, doesn´t it. Henry was born when Bruce Lee died, which explains where she got her fighting spirit from. Rob goes back to when Mike Myers and Quentin Tarantino were born - which proves that this particular year was full of genius and nonsense.

Don´t be fooled by those pictures of us shooting. It was just a nice afternoon on a friend´s farm. We put them here because they are so totally not us - and we just want to show off.

Henry is the more lively of us, spontanious combustion included. Robert, on the other hand, is working hard on gaining a reputation as being a couch potatoe.

What else is there? Al Bundy still is a role model, closely followed by James Belushi. Fullstop. Homer Simpson is the saviour from a different world, and nobody can go past Scrubs and the Gilmore Girls. Groucho Marx was the only true Anarchist and Robin Williams - as a stand up - is the greatest comedian alive. For that matter, John Wayne is sadly missed!

Some people describe our state of mind as being “very southern hemisphere-ish”, or laid back. Perhaps because we either originate from there (Henry), or having lived there (Rob). Who can blame us for that? There is nothing better than sunshine, the sound of the ocean, a Braai (BBQ!), loads of beers (Castle!) or some good red wine and - if Henry permits - sports on the telly.  Sounds great, ey.

Our family is scattered over two continents and a rare breed. Pretty wacky and quite loud, we tend to have loads of fun everywhere we go. Its not just positive thinking - we were born that way. Not to mention that we sometimes irritate the shit out of other people - even out of ourselfes....

Although we are not particularly fond of the Poms (just kidding) we speak English at home and follow most of their sports - with Rugby being the alltime hot favourite. Have a look at the Rugby Page to find out more.

We are not the kind who want to bore you with life´s wisdom and/or pseudo-philosophical news. Bugger off, Do-Gooders. We tend to stick with Balu The Bear and his views. Relax, calm down, have fun and enjoy the “bear (bare) necesseties” - and what they are is up to one self! Its as simple as that.

So, what are we actually doing with our lives? We enjoy history very much - in all aspects. Ancient Greece, Troy, Rome and Egypt are our hot favourites, as well as WWII and the Boer War. On that alone we could be starting our own library. Sightseeing is also at the top of our list with hiking a close second. Galavanting, dining and lazing on the beach (preferably at Heroldsbaai, near George) are also extremely popular with us.

For Henry you would have to add art (painting), designing her own clothes and manufacturing all kinds of dust collectors. Rob gets excited with most kinds of sports, aviation and collecting useless stuff.
