Its a mans game!

Rugby is our game !!!

Although Henry always pretends that she is not interested in sports, she is a vivid Springbok supporter and screams from  the top of her lungs every time the Bokke break the line. Pity that most of them are so damn ugly..... and Monty is a bloody poof! - Congrats on winning RWC 2007!!!!  The best Team Won!!!!

Rob, of course, shares Henry´s passion for the Bokke. The steamrolling no frills forward action of the beefy SA pack is fantastic to watch. But deep down inside he is as black as one can get. He is a faithful disciple of the one  true religion - worshipping the mighty All Blacks.

Commitment to excellence and true sportsmanship is what makes All Blacks Rugby unique in all aspects. Seldom one will find an All Black playing foul or getting out of the line of total commitment. On the rare occassion when this happens, its dealt with immediately and with grace and honour. That is the difference between a good and a truly mighty side. I could go on for hours............. ;-)

Of course, Rugby is not only something we watch, we also read about it. Hence we would like to point out a few books that are fun to read and informative:

Jonah

a MUST HAVE and a good book too, goose bump stuff!

Rainbow Warrior

honestly, I never liked this pommie-arse-creeping guy, but the book is quite good, specially on RWC 1995.

Krige

a man that gave his pride for the Union that forsake him.

Once himself a leading prop in NZ Rugby, Inky gives an inside view of All Blacks Rugby, S12, S14, Tri-Nations and every now and then fires a few shells across the equator. One of the best books - and definitely the funniest book - I have ever read about Rugby.

Inky also covers main Rugby news in a weekly newsletter. Give it a try........

Please be patient - the real quality sound starts after 27 seconds into the Haka. Its worth the wait!!!!

I have been playing Rugby as a forward in the past twenty odd years. Having started as a second rower I have now switched to openside flanker and No. 8.  My coach thought I could do with a little bit of running at the tender age of forty-something.....

However, I still enjoy the crunch of a good game and the thirst that comes with it. I especially enjoy the  mateship amongst the okes and the friendships sometimes resulting from that.

Having been a member of a number of clubs over the years, I would like to honour these clubs by linking to their respective homepages.  Please pay them a visit and enjoy.

The world famous Frankfurter Bembelschwenker Golden Oldies Team, of which I used to be the President and General Manager - before we had to move away from Frankfurt.

Cricket is also one of the sports we follow. As a matter of fact, we fell in love with each other over a One Day International.  Well, it wasn´t limited overs for us - we went all the way and got married...............

Rob has started to play a bit himself - a medium fast bowler with a bit of a spin. Taking wickets has become a passion during the short summer period in Germany. Its just a pity that The Robmeister never - literally never - has scored a single run. Always out for duck. That´s also sort of a record, isn´t it.
